batman begins: batman juga manusia!

judul di atas terinspirasi sama tulisan kompas [24/6], dan lagu "rocker juga manusia" yang semalam dinyanyikan Judika dengan bertenaga di Indonesian Idol. ya, sisi manusia tokoh batman lebih disorot dalam film batman begins. tema superhero yang berkedok kelelawar ini sudah beberapa kali diangkat ke layar perak. dan tema sisi manusiawi batman juga sebetulnya pernah ditonjolkan di Batman Forever (1995). dalam Batman Forever, Bruce Wayne [Val Kilmer] banyak berkonsultasi dengan psikolog mengenai gelapnya mimpi yang selalu menghantuinya. Bruce lalu jatuh cinta pada perempuan psikolog itu. siapa pemerannya... emmh Nicole Kidman ya?

Christian Bale kali ini mendapat giliran jadi Bruce Wayne alias Batman. tak percuma otot dan ketampanan yang dimilikinya, berpadu dengan keterampilan karate dan samurai yang diperoleh sewaktu di penjara gara-gara mau menyelami dunia kriminalitas. Henri Ducard (Liam Neeson) yang melatihnya di tempat mirip pegunungan bersalju di Tibet.
Henri penampilannya di film ini persis Qui Gong-Jinn di Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace. harap maklum, keduanya diperankan Liam Neeson dengan tampilan serupa.

masa lalu Bruce yang tragis, kedua orangtuanya terbunuh oleh pencopet, membuatnya dendam pada kejahatan. dan untuk memahami kejahatan, dia melepaskan predikat bangsawan dan kekayaannya untuk menjadi bagian dari penjahat. dia masih punya hati saat membiarkan Henri Ducard, guru dan sekaligus lawannya, tetap hidup.

lahirlah seorang superhero di kota Gotham. Bruce terlahir kembali dengan karakter kelelawar, hewan yang katanya menyimpan ketakutan, namun dapat membuat orang takut. dengan cara itulah ia ingin membuat kriminal keder.

dua penjahat yang dihadapinya: Dr. Jonathan Crane, dokter Rumah Sakit Jiwa yang suka mengeksploitasi pasiennya, dan Henri Ducard sang gembong teroris kota Gotham. ia ingin meracuni seluruh kota dengan cairan kimia yang disusupkan pada pipa air minum. jelaslah, film Batman begins tentu terinspirasi peristiwa terorisme di Amrik sana.

untung kota Gotham punya Batman. Amrik punya [si]apa? :)
namun di balik kegagahan otot dan kostum Batman, tersimpan seorang manusia dengan masa lalu yang gelap dan ketakutan. sebuah pesan menarik disisipkan di sini ketika puri mewah keluarga Wayne habis musnah terbakar [analogi menara kembar WTC?], Alfred Pennyworth pelayan setia keluarga Wayne berkata kepada Bruce: "Why do we fall, sir? So we learn how to pick ourselves back up".


saat Bruce berciuman dengan Rachel Dawes, perempuan jaksa dan juga teman main masa kecilnya, rasanya lagu "Kiss from a Rose" yang dinyanyikan Seal di Batman Forever layak dilantunkan kembali:
